Earlier this month, I was approached to conceptualize and design a 'selfie station' for the Kennicott Brothers Booth at the International Floriculture Expo in Chicago. We had a week to develop and execute the design, and I think it came out awesome!
"Recollections" a program on the different eras of floral design, presented by North Central AIFD at the Chicago Flower and Garden Show
Every year at the Chicago Flower and Garden Show, the North Central Chapter of AIFD has a mainstage design program, and this year is was about floral design styles and how they've evolved through time.
I was super lucky to be given a chance to compete against my AIFD peers this year in an Iron Chef- style surprise package design-off! The 6 competitors had 30 minutes to create something gorgeous, and halfway through we were given a surprise must-use element to add to our designs already in progress.
I had SO much fun, and hope to compete in the Bobbi Cup, and many others, in the future!
So in the thick of Christmas craziness last month, Garrett and I met up at Mayesh Wholesale Detroit Metro, to hang out, visit with the amazing product in their coolers and chat about the state of our industry a ce moment.
